Disclaimer

PayHour gives estimates for planning. It does not replace your payroll record.

Last updated: November 5, 2026

In short: Results are estimates of gross pay before taxes and deductions. They are not payroll, tax, accounting or legal advice.

Estimates only

The Pay Hour Calculator uses the numbers you enter and simple formulas to estimate earnings. Your actual pay can differ because of timekeeping and rounding rules, pay periods, bonuses, commissions, tips, shift differentials, deductions and your employer's policies.

Gross pay is not take-home pay

Results are shown before federal, state and local income taxes, Social Security and Medicare taxes, insurance premiums, retirement contributions, garnishments and other deductions. The optional take-home field applies a single flat percentage that you choose. It is a rough illustration and not a tax calculation.

Overtime rules vary

The calculator applies the weekly threshold, optional daily threshold and multiplier that you enter. In the United States, federal law generally requires overtime pay for covered, non-exempt employees who work more than 40 hours in a workweek. Some states, cities and contracts add daily overtime, double time, seventh-day premiums or other rules. Some workers are exempt from overtime. The Tool does not decide whether you are eligible, and it does not model double time.
